DON'T PANIC!
Found this information much later than your pregnant friends will?
Late is MUCH better than never.
4 STEPS TO TAKE AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE

1. Get to the pool as soon as you can!
The more often you come to Pregnancy Aqua, the more informed, connected, fit & mentally prepared you will be.
Repetition & practice for various scenarios = easier recall when you need it most during birth.
Ridiculously cheap 🤑
I can't tell you how often I hear "I wish I had come earlier."

2. Family history questionnaires x2
WATCH the video - why & how?
Download both files below & bring them to your appointment filled in:
- Nature nurture & birth questionnaire (NNBQ)
- Australian Pelvic Floor Questionnaire (APFQ) - (also for your MUM or female relative to fill in. Don't fill one in yourself)

3. Bladder chart
I have put all the bladder chart information on another page because lots of non-pregnant people need it too.

4. Know what options are on offer in appointments
WATCH THE VIDEO explaining all of these options (below)
- Detailed questions about pelvic health
- Real time ultrasound
- Pelvic Floor (PF) mapping ***AVOIDED DURING 1st TRIMESTER***
- Tailored PF HEP
- Analysis & discussion of bladder chart and family history questionnaires
- Perineal massage
- Anything else you might need for additional concerns e.g
- Pregnancy related aches & pains
- Bladder/bowel/sexual issues
- Extra discussion about birth or any topics we cover at the pool or prep for birth classes

4 STEPS TO TAKE BEFORE A PERINEAL MASSAGE APPOINTMENT

1. Check out the link below
Decide whether you’re keen to use this preventative strategy, and if so, when you want to start.

2. Trial free perineal massage instructions
Look up some up online and try it for a laugh (but don’t persist if it hurts please)
This insight is important for understanding why most women don’t do it.
Once you have experienced the difference, please help me spread the word about the approach I have developed so that women worldwide actually practice and get better birth outcomes!

3. Organise a discount $$
I give my patients a big discount ❤️
BUT DON'T BUY THE COURSE UNTIL YOU READ STEP 4.
Compare the value:
- Discounted course + appt = 4-5 hours of all the detail you need for ~$200. Plus Six weeks access to consolidate your understanding while you practise
- Appointment alone = 45 minutes of a whirlwind of information for ~$140
Message @pelvicfloormechanics (my instagram) to request a personalised code
Send me your name + the date & time of your appointment
(Please understand that I can’t answer clinical questions on instagram. If I did, I would never spend time with my family again!)

4. Do the online course theory BEFORE your perineal massage appointment if possible
33 weeks or more? Do it ASAP
32 weeks or less? Buy it and do at least the theory as close to the time of your appointment as possible (with your partner if applicable). Allow 2-3 hours
Why not buy it much earlier? You get 6 weeks access to the course and it's good to have access later in pregnancy after consolidating your technique.
Is there any point in getting it after my perineal massage appointment? YES!!! People constantly tell me how much it helps it sink in and the positions make practice more comfortable and like birth.
